Holy Cereal!

Who doesn't love a deal? I know I do!! My problem is if I know it's a super good deal, I usually buy more than I would ever need or use. I ran into that problem today! Albersons's had a sale on cereal, now keep in mind we are not cereal eating people. I heard about a deal on it, so I loaded the 3 little kids in the car at 9:00 am and off we went. I got there and the store manager had tons coupons for the cereal, making it an ever better deal. I loaded up 6 cases and 4 additional boxes, making it a total of 100 boxes!!! Remember, we almost NEVER eat the stuff!! I knew Brandi would want some, and Marcelo wanted to give some to an employee of his, and yes, I know I over-bought! So I make my way to the register, people are starring of course, let them stare I thought. The store manager, who convinced me to buy more than the 60 I originally planned on, had told me they would end up being $0.34 per box, which really is a KILLER deal. So the cashier is doing her thing, and I'm watching the total get smaller, and smaller, and then I see the total. My first thought, "Brooke, you should have gotten more" Sick thought, right?? My total, tax inclued, for 100 boxes of cereal........brace yourselves....$8.24!!! That is $0.08 per box!I almost peed my pants!! Now if you think about it, she charged me wrong. There was no way I could possibly have taken any more of the poor woman's time and asked her to fix the price, so I took my goods and left.
Crazy, Isn't it??
Of course I bribbed Cameron and Kyle to be good. After I loaded all the boxes in my car, I took the kids back in to get some donuts. $6.50 later, (almost the same as the cereal) we were out of there. Kyle was wearing his!!! I swear he gets more on his face and clothes and in his mouth sometimes.

My mom caught Alex trying on "hot sauce" (that's her wigs name). He is a sneaky little guy, and thought he was super funny. He looks so funny!! (and kinda cute!)
Who needs toys when you have toes?
Happy baby!
And if your takind Hailey's picture, Ky has to be in one of course....

Alex lost his first tooth!!

Alex lost his first little tooth yesterday!! It has been loose for a few weeks and finally fell out! He was eating lunch (that explains the nasty face) and then wanted a chocolate covered oreo that my friend had brought over. He had a few bites of it and then says to me, "What's this hard thing? It's poision." I say, "It's just the oreo, eat it." And then I scream, "IT'S YOUR TOOTH!!" It was a beautiful moment of me, Alex, Cameron and their friend Tyler all freaking out like one of us had just won the lottery! I ran him in to the bathroom to look in the mirror, and that's when he noticed the "red stuff", I told him it's just a little blood, and then the tears start building up, "What? I don't want any blood" he says, holding back from crying. His little buddy says, "Alex, it's not even a bone."??? Funny the things kids think to say! Anyways, the blood quickly stopped, and Alex was on top of the world the rest the day.
Later, we were eating dinner and started talking about the tooth-fairy. I told Alex to put his tooth in a sock and place it under his pillow. He is very stubborn, and said he would not put in under his pillow because he didn't want the tooth-fairy by him. So Marcelo tells him that in Brazil they put it by the window. Then Cameron says, "Yeah, and in Mexico you put it by your chair." He was so serious about it. I thought he must have seen that on Dora or something. I asked him how he knew that, and he said, "They do, me know everything."

6 Months Old!!

Yes, I know I'm a day early on this, but the odds of me updating this between now and tomorrow are slim to none. Hailey is 6 months old, and I'm in denial! Hailey is our last baby, and she is getting too big, way too fast. She is such a fun little baby. She is always smiling and is so curious of everything and everyone around her. I tried to feed her some rice cereal a few weeks ago, and she wants no part of it. My boys were all inhaling food by 6 months! I'm not complaining, it's a lot easier not having to feed her solid foods yet! Cameron is already planning his and her combo birthday party, so everyone free up your schedule for June 10, 2009, it should be a WiLd time!!

Choo-Choo

There is a train ride to "The North Pole" that we all go on every year to get excited and ready for Christmas. Santa is on the train, and there is a group of singer who go throughout the train singing Christmas songs. One you get to the North Pole, the kids sit on Santa's lap, and they have cookies and milk.
Alex can always find a place to get comfy!
Cameron and Coren
Alex and Cam ditched us for this picture!
I never realize how many of us there are until I see a picture! WoW!!
Coren LOVES Hailey! It's so cute!

Thanksgiving

My family always come to visit for Thanksgiving. My parents and Zak came on Wednesday, and Brandi and her family got here on Thursday afternoon. The kids have such a good time together. It is a little crazy that there are 4 little boys all within like 18 months of age, plus Kyle, who thinks he is just as big. My parents brought a "kids table" so all the little guys could sit together. Carson said the prayer for us, and as soon as he was done, Alex said "I want to say grace" It was so cute, and SO funny. He ended his prayer with, "Thanks!" instead of your traditional "Amen". Crazy little man!

The boys were all starving (notice Alex's 2 plates) so they started a little bit before the adults.
Poor Hailey had to chew on a toy, next year will be better for her!

What do you expect from a bunch of boys??

Ky thought he was cool stuff sittin with the big guys!

My cooking must have been decent, they are both smiling!!
Thanksgiving was great, I think it's the only time of year that our whole family is ever together for more than a couple hours......that's really sad! I guess we were one girl short, Makenna was at her dads this year... There is always next year!

Just when you think they are sweet...

Cameron started a new preschool today at the Elementary school that Alex goes to. He was so excited! He gets to ride the bus and everything. The preschool bus (A.K.A. the short bus!! We call it the 4 year olds bus!) Anyways, Alex, Cam and me were all eating breakfast at like 6:55 this morning. I was still trying to wake up, and the boys were talking a million miles a minute to each other.

Alex: "Cameron, what are your friends names in your class?"

Cam: "I don't know?"

Alex: "You can play with me and my friends on the playground!" (my eyes fill with tears, I was so proud I easily could have cried!! )

Cam: "OK, But I'm not playing with YOU!" (my moment of proudness, GONE)

Cameron waiting on the porch for his bus!
He was ready to go at 7:20, the bus comes at 7:45, he was a little anxious!

What did I tell you???

Cam, I warned you not whine and look pathetic when I was holding the camera.....
As for you, Stud Muffin, your wife better have a better sense of style than you do!
Oh, my poor little geeks!

5 Months ALREADY!

Time flies! Hailey is already 5 months old. I can't beleive it! I wish she would stay a little baby forever. She is such a good little girl all the time. She LOVES her little toes and is always either holding them, or trying to eat them! Babies are so flexible it's funny!

Here she is 5 short months ago at the hospital... She has changed so much. Before I know it, she will be walking.

Future Chefs

Marcelo was making dinner the other night, and Alex decided that he had to help. My mom is always really patient and let's Alex cook things when she is around. (He loves to make french toast whenever she is here!) He asked if he could help, and Marcelo said "No". He was breading chicken and raw meat and eggs are a nasty combo for a kid to be touching. I told Marcelo, "My mom would let him do it.." So of course, he had to let Alex help, and if Alex is doing anything, of course Cam has to do it too.
Look at his ribs!!

GEEEE!

Kyle LOVES the camera. If he sees our camera all you hear is "GEEEE" (cheese in Kyle's language). He was even saying it in the shower, which is his favorite place to be. Sometimes we will hear him yelling and he will be standing in the shower, usually wearing his diaper and his shoes, yelling and pointing for the water to turn on. He is such a funny little guy!

There are reasons kids sleep.....

#1- The obvious, everyone needs sleep #2- Parent's need time without the whining, the fighting, the CONSTANT talking, yelling and screaming and #3- Because when you go in their room to tuck them in at night and see how cute and innocent they are when they are sleeping, you remember how funny, smart and cute they were all day long, and kinda look forward to them waking up in the morning!

Hailey's 1st Halloween, and first time rolling!

Hailey was a cute little ladybug for her first Halloween. She looked like she wanted to grab a peice of candy, but didn't know how!
On October 28, 2008, Hailey rolled over for the first time! Sadly, I missed it. She has been a little rolling baby ever since! She likes to roll, but hates to be on her belly. Hopefully she figures out how to roll back onto her back soon. Cameron and Kyle made sure that we knew that they also could roll. They rolled around on the ground for a few minutes acting like they were the coolest things ever!

And the Costume of the Year Award goes to...

Alan Hormann!
Congratulations! You looked GREAT!

Alex's school parade

Alex's school had a Halloween parade and party.
Alex is the Star Wars Clone Trooper (the blue one) The is Brian "the big guy" is what Alex calls him. He is about double the size of my little man, in all directions. He is one of Alex's buddies.
Miss Chamberlain let Cameron join in. Tyler is in front of him.

Our not-so-beautiful pumpkins

The afternoon before Halloween, the boys reminded me that we still had not carved our pumpkins. I don't know why I didn't wait for Marcelo to get home. Call me crazy! Me and the FOUR kids did it! They are not too cute, but at least nobody got hurt!
Alex and Kyle worked together
Hailey was a HUGE helper as you can see!
Cameron liked the idea, but wouldn't touch it!

And the big Halloween night reveal...

What A Day!

Our day started out bright and early at 9:00 am. I took the kids (without Marcelo) in their Halloween costumes to Old Navy. Holly had told me they were having a sale and if the kids wore their costumes, they would get a free shirt. Normally, I wouldn't go to all the trouble of putting them in their costumes, but we were going to the zoo after, so what the heck, I did it. And boy was it worth it!!! The first 100 people got gift bags with a special coupon inside. Alex opened the coupon and gave it to me. I looked at it, and thought, there is NO WAY I am reading this right. I went back to the girl who gave it to me, and she got all excited and said, "You got the grand prize!" I about died!! Now, it's not a car, or a million bucks, it's a prize from Old Navy.... but still, I was SO proud! I just don't win things, EVER!! So what did I get?? Look at the picture below!!
ALL THIS WAS FREE!!!(OK, I had to pay $5.33)
My coupon was for $150.00 off your purchase!!!
At least I can call myself a WINNER now!
After that beautiful experience, we took the kids to Boo at the Zoo, which is basicallt trick-or-treating at the Zoo. Most of Idaho was there, but the kids had a great time, and got lots of candy.
