What A Day!

Our day started out bright and early at 9:00 am. I took the kids (without Marcelo) in their Halloween costumes to Old Navy. Holly had told me they were having a sale and if the kids wore their costumes, they would get a free shirt. Normally, I wouldn't go to all the trouble of putting them in their costumes, but we were going to the zoo after, so what the heck, I did it. And boy was it worth it!!! The first 100 people got gift bags with a special coupon inside. Alex opened the coupon and gave it to me. I looked at it, and thought, there is NO WAY I am reading this right. I went back to the girl who gave it to me, and she got all excited and said, "You got the grand prize!" I about died!! Now, it's not a car, or a million bucks, it's a prize from Old Navy.... but still, I was SO proud! I just don't win things, EVER!! So what did I get?? Look at the picture below!!
ALL THIS WAS FREE!!!(OK, I had to pay $5.33)
My coupon was for $150.00 off your purchase!!!
At least I can call myself a WINNER now!
After that beautiful experience, we took the kids to Boo at the Zoo, which is basicallt trick-or-treating at the Zoo. Most of Idaho was there, but the kids had a great time, and got lots of candy.

The Girl-Hawk

The scariest part of having a girl is the HAIR!!! Hailey is still lacking in that department! When she was born, the nurse somehow formed this cute little curl on the top of her head and put two little bows by it... it was adorable! I tried the curl thing once, it wasn't happening! The other day, I decided to give it a try again. It was a challenge, and it didn't even turn out all that well, but I was still proud! Cameron came in and saw it and said, "WHAT, Hailey has a mohawk?" I said, "No, it's a curl." His response, "Not." So I said, "It's a gril-hawk." He gets a huge smile on his face and said, "Yeah, a girl-hawk!" Then it was of course super cool!!
Look close so you don't miss it!!

The Park

We went to Cameron's soccer practice and nobody else from his team showed up (losers!), they have a playground that Alex and Kyle love playing on when Cam is practicing, so Cameron was VERY happy he got to play and not practice! It seems like not long ago, I would have to follow Alex and Cameron around on the playground to make sure they were safe and not fall. They are getting so big. I notice it the most in Alex. Kindergarten has aged that kid so much, which is good and bad! Kyle thinks he is as big as them, which is scary!!

This little boy followed us around the whole time talking, showing off, and posing for pic's with us! He was funny, but we couldn't get a picture without him in it!

Look What I Can Do!

Add another thing to my list of crazy things Kyle likes to do.

Heather, Dave and Riley came over Friday night to play RockBand after the kids had all went to bed. I have to admit, Heather impressed me! And watch out ladies, Riley is quite the singer!! Hailey and Heather had a chance to "bond" while I frosted us some cookies. They don't get us chance to hang out too often since we have 7 crazy kids between the two of us. It was fun to have a night without all the chaos from the kids.

Poor Ky

Kyle is more than a handful, he's like 3 hands full. I only have 2 hands, and it's just not always enough! He was driving me CrAzY!!! so I was trying to make him laugh and stop crying. I wrapped him up in a blanket, (he usually likes to be a "burrito") that wasn't working, so I wrapped him in another one and picked him up. He was trying so hard to be miserable, and at this point I thought it was pretty funny. I know I am mean for taking pictures of the poor guy, they are sadly very cute! Don't feel bad for him, he was having fun when he was completely covered in pillows!!!

Another first for Hailey

SHOES!!!!!

Cameron and Monkey

Cameron has had this monkey since he was born. He sleeps with it every night. This is really how he sleeps with it....

Little RockStar & Baker

Kyle LOVES to play Rockband. He grabs the drumsticks and goes crazy, it is so funny to watch him! He actually made it through one full song yesterday, pure luck of course! Who knows, maybe this is a sign of a future career!

Alex loves to cook....anything. He is a very independant kid and will make breakfast and lunch for him and Cameron as often as he can. Most days, he walks in the door from school and goes straight to the kitchen to make his lunch. He wanted to make a cake and some cupcakes the other day. We made a dozen cupcakes so he could take some to his friends, and we made the rest the batter into a cake. I frosted the cupcakes, he decorated them. While the cake was cooling, I was outside with Cameron and Kyle. Alex came out a little while later to play. Little did I know, while he was inside, he took it upon himself to frost the cake! It turned out quite well! He was so proud! (So was I!)
