Holy Cereal!
Who doesn't love a deal? I know I do!! My problem is if I know it's a super good deal, I usually buy more than I would ever need or use. I ran into that problem today! Albersons's had a sale on cereal, now keep in mind we are not cereal eating people. I heard about a deal on it, so I loaded the 3 little kids in the car at 9:00 am and off we went. I got there and the store manager had tons coupons for the cereal, making it an ever better deal. I loaded up 6 cases and 4 additional boxes, making it a total of 100 boxes!!! Remember, we almost NEVER eat the stuff!! I knew Brandi would want some, and Marcelo wanted to give some to an employee of his, and yes, I know I over-bought! So I make my way to the register, people are starring of course, let them stare I thought. The store manager, who convinced me to buy more than the 60 I originally planned on, had told me they would end up being $0.34 per box, which really is a KILLER deal. So the cashier is doing her thing, and I'm watching the total get smaller, and smaller, and then I see the total. My first thought, "Brooke, you should have gotten more" Sick thought, right?? My total, tax inclued, for 100 boxes of cereal........brace yourselves....$8.24!!! That is $0.08 per box!I almost peed my pants!! Now if you think about it, she charged me wrong. There was no way I could possibly have taken any more of the poor woman's time and asked her to fix the price, so I took my goods and left.

Alex lost his first tooth!!
Alex lost his first little tooth yesterday!! It has been loose for a few weeks and finally fell out! He was eating lunch (that explains the nasty face) and then wanted a chocolate covered oreo that my friend had brought over. He had a few bites of it and then says to me, "What's this hard thing? It's poision." I say, "It's just the oreo, eat it." And then I scream, "IT'S YOUR TOOTH!!" It was a beautiful moment of me, Alex, Cameron and their friend Tyler all freaking out like one of us had just won the lottery! I ran him in to the bathroom to look in the mirror, and that's when he noticed the "red stuff", I told him it's just a little blood, and then the tears start building up, "What? I don't want any blood" he says, holding back from crying. His little buddy says, "Alex, it's not even a bone."??? Funny the things kids think to say! Anyways, the blood quickly stopped, and Alex was on top of the world the rest the day.
Later, we were eating dinner and started talking about the tooth-fairy. I told Alex to put his tooth in a sock and place it under his pillow. He is very stubborn, and said he would not put in under his pillow because he didn't want the tooth-fairy by him. So Marcelo tells him that in Brazil they put it by the window. Then Cameron says, "Yeah, and in Mexico you put it by your chair." He was so serious about it. I thought he must have seen that on Dora or something. I asked him how he knew that, and he said, "They do, me know everything."

6 Months Old!!
Yes, I know I'm a day early on this, but the odds of me updating this between now and tomorrow are slim to none. Hailey is 6 months old, and I'm in denial! Hailey is our last baby, and she is getting too big, way too fast. She is such a fun little baby. She is always smiling and is so curious of everything and everyone around her. I tried to feed her some rice cereal a few weeks ago, and she wants no part of it. My boys were all inhaling food by 6 months! I'm not complaining, it's a lot easier not having to feed her solid foods yet! Cameron is already planning his and her combo birthday party, so everyone free up your schedule for June 10, 2009, it should be a WiLd time!!
Choo-Choo
There is a train ride to "The North Pole" that we all go on every year to get excited and ready for Christmas. Santa is on the train, and there is a group of singer who go throughout the train singing Christmas songs. One you get to the North Pole, the kids sit on Santa's lap, and they have cookies and milk.
Alex can always find a place to get comfy!
Thanksgiving
My family always come to visit for Thanksgiving. My parents and Zak came on Wednesday, and Brandi and her family got here on Thursday afternoon. The kids have such a good time together. It is a little crazy that there are 4 little boys all within like 18 months of age, plus Kyle, who thinks he is just as big. My parents brought a "kids table" so all the little guys could sit together. Carson said the prayer for us, and as soon as he was done, Alex said "I want to say grace" It was so cute, and SO funny. He ended his prayer with, "Thanks!" instead of your traditional "Amen". Crazy little man!
The boys were all starving (notice Alex's 2 plates) so they started a little bit before the adults.
Poor Hailey had to chew on a toy, next year will be better for her!
What do you expect from a bunch of boys??
Ky thought he was cool stuff sittin with the big guys!
My cooking must have been decent, they are both smiling!!

Thanksgiving was great, I think it's the only time of year that our whole family is ever together for more than a couple hours......that's really sad! I guess we were one girl short, Makenna was at her dads this year... There is always next year!
